Nursing education continues to evolve as more advancements in learning delivery are explored. At Arellano University-International Nursing Program, evidence-based education strategies such as ATI Testing and computer-based evaluation programs are being implemented as part of its US-based nursing curriculum. ATI Testing is a program used by nursing schools, mostly based in the US, to allow student nurses to learn, apply, and evaluate their knowledge and skills, through the use of computer-based simulations, practice questions, and skills modules which equip them with knowledge and competence in client care. Arellano University was also the first to use the ATI program in the Philippines, thus providing the students with more alternative resources to learn various skills and analyze case scenarios related to nursing. It has been a valuable tool for the faculty and the students to continue learning, particularly during the lockdown period, wherein students were prohibited from doing their on-campus skills practice and clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals. With the demand for synchronizing the theoretical foundations of nursing with the practice environment, students were offered a safe learning environment through the use of virtual simulations to better equip them with knowledge and competence in client care.
