For 2 consecutive Radiologic Technology Licensure Examination in a row, Arellano University (AU) produced a topnotcher in the Radiologic Technology Licensure Examination: the more recent, Kirch Roy M. Bathan in the June 6-7, 2023 board exam, and John Fritz Forteza in 2022.

Kirch Roy M. Bathan of Las Piñas City, took the number 8 position among the 1,237 takers of the licensure exam. Based on his high school study experiences, one wouldn’t imagine him with this honor. He attended 3 different high schools, took a one-year break after his 3rd year, before graduating under the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program.

When he was deciding on the course to take in college he was inspired by a Radiologic Technologist friend who gave him the picture of the challenges of the work and the demand for RadTech professionals here and abroad.

He decided to enroll in the course, thinking it would be a good pre-med course, as he has always wanted to be a doctor of medicine. However, along the way, in addition to the financial constraints of medical study, he realized he was not truly committed to study medicine. So he focused on his study of RadTech.

He chose to study at Arellano University because at the time he was looking for the right school, he found AU to have a good curriculum for RadTech. Also, AU has the reputation of an institution for doing well in preparing students for the Licensure Examination.

For his own preparation for the board exam, he followed the simple rules of good living: nutritious food, enough sleep, focus and dedication. He never missed a class; he digested the information and knowledge the review provided.

Kirch Roy Bathan is a very regular guy with a big heart. To him, “everything can be achieved through determination, hard work and discipline. Everything worth achieving requires a little sacrifice.”
