International I.T. Program (2 +2 Pathway to Australia)

In partnership with Federation University Australia (Formerly University of Ballarat) in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia

In 2010, AU entered into an articulation agreement with Federation University Australia (Formerly University of Ballarat) in Victoria, Australia. Recognizing the high standards of AU’s School of Computer Science, FUA agreed to give advance standing to AU students who finish the first two years of any of the following Computer Science courses of AU:

  • Information Technology
  • Software Technology
  • Multimedia Technology

After completing their two years of study in AU, the students become eligible to transfer to FUA where they will spend their final two years to earn the Bachelor of Information Technology degree of FUA. The Bachelor of Information Technology course of FUA is accredited at Professional Level by the Australian Computer Science Society. FUA also houses two IBM facilities: the IBM Southern Regional Data Centre and the IBM Regional Software Solutions Centre. The presence of the aforementioned facilities enable students to familiarize themselves with the culture and distinct processes of IBM, preparing them for a potential career path with IBM.

Graduates of FUA Bachelor of Information Technology course will be qualified for a variety of career opportunities. Careers include network manager, applications developer, programmer, software engineer, systems analyst, multimedia developer, database administrator, project manager and IT consultant. In partnership with Australian Institute of Higher Education (AIH) in Sydney, NSW, Australia In 2018, AU entered in to an articulation agreement with the Australian Institute of Higher Education (AIH) in Sydney, Australia. With this new partnership, computer science students who have successfully completed the first two years of their study in AU have the opportunity to transfer to AIH, study for two years and earn Bachelor of Business Information Systems.

The Australian Institute for Higher Education (AIH) is a Sydney-based education provider which offers quality higher (tertiary) education courses in Accounting, Business and Information technology.

Transfer Requirements:

  1. Students must be at least 18 years of age
  2. Original transcript of records from AU indicating that the student finished two years of any of the three Computer Science courses of AU.
  3. Academic IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 5.5.
  4. Australian Student Visa Note: The students will be assisted in their enrollment and visa application by an authorized education agent by AU’s partner schools in Australia.
