Arellano University (AU) is proud to offer the International Nursing Program (INP), an innovative Bachelor of Science in Nursing academic course that remains the only one of its kind in the Philippines. It was officially launched in 2006 as a result of our unique partnership with Alderson Broaddus University (AB), a private university located in Philippi, West Virginia, USA.
The first three years of the Nursing Baccalaureate Curriculum of AB are implemented on our Manila campus. The admissions process, progression standards, delivery of course content, course schedule and skills, and clinical training of the INP strictly follow the curriculum and policies of AB. Students who complete and pass the three years become eligible to transfer to the campus of AB, where they finish their final year and earn an American Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
AU also entered into an articulation agreement with Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia, in 2009 in its effort to provide AU-INP students with more international pathways. The agreement credits the first two or three years of the INP curriculum to ECU's BSN program, granting our students eligibility to transfer to ECU for their final two years to earn an Australian Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia to practice the nursing profession.
We also take pride in being the only university with a Transnational Education permit from the Philippine Commission on Higher Education for the field of nursing.
